I just beat my old high score on Super Mario Brothers!
The podcast is officially on its way. My plan is to debut it on the first Sunday in November. Why Sunday? As an ode to the show that helped shaped my musical tastes, 120 Minutes.
I’m changing the format to TEN songs per show instead of fifteen. Currently I have most set lists filled out for another handful of eight shows. Recording and mixing for these next eight will happen while the others are getting posted.
We have a live show already planned! January 23rd at the Low Beat. So far the acts on the bill are the Va Va Voodoos and Acoustic Trauma. Cover will be $5. Also, Will Foley is attempting to get our acoustic showcase together as well on January 22, so it will be a double whammy: acoustic one night, electric the next. Let’s make it a DIE COVERS DIE weekend!
Last but not least, and probably my favorite, the show was being discussed quite a bit on Craigslist earlier this week. Some of it was bashing, some neutral, and some was favorable. Whatever the case, I don’t care. “There’s no such thing as bad publicity,” as the old saying goes!
