New Approaches and Updates

Some new things going on in the land of DCD.

*I am going to do the show TWICE a week at first. Why? I think keeping it fresh in everyone’s mind like that will help it gain steam.

*I am going to record a whopping EIGHT shows ahead of time. At two per week, this means I will be covered for four weeks, AKA one month. This should give me enough time to find and record the NEXT show.

*I still plan on having a 15 song set list per show. Right now, I have the set list for four shows planned out.

*I sent messages out to everyone who is either a musician or has contact with lots of musicians to get the word out about submissions. Oddly enough, even though more than half the people read this message, WAY less than half have even bothered to reply.

*Some people HAVE replied, but said they can get songs to me next week…or said they were in the process of recording…or the mother ship just returned, and they have to go home for a while. GET ME SONGS, PEOPLE!!!

*I want to make one thing clear: I did not start this show because I think any of the bands I am reaching out to need “help.” Obviously, bands like Dryer and Phillips Head and the Velmas did okay LONG before me. So don’t think of it as me helping you when, in fact, you are helping ME.

About diecoversdie

I am a podcast originating in Troy, NY. My goal is to wrest control of the music scene away from all the cover bands. Time to bring appreciation for original music back to the area!
